Johnson Automation

History

Johnson Automation was formerly the Assembly Division of R&M Mfg. Inc. R&M created the Assembly Division in 2008 when employees of Gilman Engineering’s Assembly Division were displaced by the closing of the Janesville, WI facility. In 2014 R&M made a strategic decision to focus solely on their Production Machining Division and sold the Assembly Operations to Bruce Johnson who started Johnson Automation.

New Equipment

Welding

Johnson Automation has recently acquired new equipment to augment our fabrication capabilities. With the addition of a new Millermatic 252 Mig Welder we are now capable of creating weldments, brackets, and custom fabrications. In addition to the welder we have also added an arbor press and a welding fixture table to supplement the use of the welder.

Shipping and Receiving

Our shipping and receiving capabilities have been improved with the addition of a new Yale 5,000 lb. capacity lift truck. This truck has 195” of vertical lift and a side shift mechanism to improve load centering.
